Abstract
- The article focuses on the use of the concentration of Indoleamine 2, 3-dioxygenase (IDO) and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in determination of disease severity in SLE patients. Topics discussed include control of (1T helper) Th1-dependent immune responses by Interferon-γ (IFN-γ); use of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) for isolation of total RNA with Biozol; and use of IDO as suitable determinant and potential biomarker for the disease activity along with IFN-γ.
