Abstract
- The article presents a case study of a 61-year-old woman with acute pulmonary thromboembolism that developed during adult liver transplantation (LT), which was managed with venoarterial (VA) extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) support. The patient's medical history is given as well as her treatment. Concern about the administration of appropriate anticoagulation during VA ECMO support is tackled.
