Abstract

The article reflects on several studies related to the obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) that were published within the periodical in 2016. Topics discussed include linkage between the brain disorder schizophrenia and OSA, treatment of previously undiagnosed OSA expected to lead to improvements in the main drivers of morbidity and mortality; and OSA expected to increase oxidative stress and sympathetic activation.
