Abstract
- Explains that the periodicals "The Washington Post," "The New York Times," "The Atlanta Journal/Constitution," and "The New Republic" embargoed for a year the news of Martin Luther King's plagiarism in his doctoral dissertation. Decision to publish in November 1990 only after "The Wall Street Journal" did so; King lifted passages from the doctoral dissertation of fellow Boston University student Jack Boozer.
