Abstract: The article presents a study to examine characteristics of Yongzhu–Guomang Lake Ophiolitic Melange in Xizang (Tibet), China. Topics discussed include ophiolitic fragments in Yongzhu–Guomang Lake composed of metamorphic harzburgites, gabbros and basalts, characteristics of depleted mantle peridotite, and age of Yongzhu–Guomangcuo ophiolite.
