Abstract: The article offers information on flying mechanism of airplanes and mechanical forces that act on it. Topics discussed include two opposite forces lift and gravity which act in pairs on an airplane, combination of these forces with airplane's weight which allow airplanes to fly and discusses shape and role of airplane wings in flying of an airplanes.
