Abstract

Though e-commerce and online shopping concepts are almost a couple of decades old, it is the advancement of information and communication technology and globalization, that has accelerated the shift of a large share of customer base from brick and mortar to its electronic counterpart. Various studies and statistics show that people are spending more time in different online activities – both financial and nonfinancial. The convenience of online services, especially of e-commerce has attracted consumers towards adapting this newer way of shopping. The paper highlights the major online activities performed by consumers. It also focuses on different factors affecting adoption of online shopping. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
