Abstract

The article focuses on the interim report of the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) which shows that students accepted in British universities have increased in 2016. Topics included in the report are the types of qualifications for college students, the decline in students taking vocational qualifications, and the number of students with higher grades at A-level. Comment from UCAS chief executive Mary Curnock Cook is also presented.
