Abstract
- The article discusses the economic development of Central Asia in the 20th century including the role of population in the industrial economy, migration and education. It explores the connection of the Soviet thinking on foreign aid and the views of economists on the key issues of Central Asia's development. Also discussed is equality and industrialization in Tajikistan.
