- The article focuses on Slocomb tomatoes grown by farmer John Aplin on his farm in Alabama. Topic discussed include transplanting seedlings grown in farms' greenhouse for tomato breeding, increased seedling prices affecting tomato production and selecting foliar disease resistant varieties of tomatoes for increased disease control and harvesting them at correct time.
