Abstract

The article presents a study related to the evidence of Histone 3 (H3) K27M mutations in diffuse midline gliomas, including high-grade astrocytomas and diffuse intrinsic pontine gliomas (DIPG). It mentions that these mutations are associated with alterations in the epigenetic profile of tumor cells. It states that despite of the presence of H3K27M mutation as detected by immunohistochemistry or sequencing remains a strong argument for the diagnosis of a diffuse midline glioma.
