Abstract
- The article reports on controversies involving Sci-Hub, the world's largest website for sharing scholarly literature. Many publishers have complained regarding the theft of copyrighted material, and the Association of American Publishers has censured an academic librarian for his comments on Sc-Hub during a panel at the American Library Association conference in June 2016. Elsevier sued the site, its founder Alexandra Elbakyan and LibGen for copyright infringement and hacking in June 2015.
