Effect of five therapeutic strategies on the coagulation defect induced by the thrombomodulin c.1611C>A mutation.

The article presents a case study of a 38-year-old female with abdominal bleeding during and after surgery of ovarian cyst and blood coagulation defect caused by the use of thrombomodulin. Topics discussed include use of red blood cell transfusions, desmopressin, laparotomy undertaken for surgical control of the bleeding and clot removal.
