Abstract

This article presents views of film critics on several motion pictures. "The boldest gambit played by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's "21 Grams," the second feature by the precociously gifted young Mexican director and his first made-in-America movie, to the way it dares you to stick it out for the first half-hour. If you do, however, it sticks with you, and for much longer than the time required for it to work its dark magic," said Geoff Pevere. "Most of the fun comes from the charm and loveliness of the female cast. Moreover, the movie's first half has an amused, ironic tone, evident in the witty Dialogue the actresses deliver with the expected competence. Everything about the first half seems to be in good measure," said Uri Klein after watching the film "Calendar Girls."
