Abstract
- The article reports that Scone Thoroughbreds, a country rugby league team, based in Scone, New South Wales, competing in the Group 21 competition under the Country Rugby League, survived a scare in a preliminary final on August 21, 2016 against Aberdeen, throwing away a 30-12 lead to finish the 80 minutes 30-all. The team secured a grand final date with Muswellbrook on August 28, 2016. But it will go to the final without star captain-coach Daniel Ritter.
