Abstract

SrMoO and SrMoO: xEu( yDy) phosphors were synthesized via co-precipitation method. Two influence factors on the luminescent and morphology properties of the phosphors have been discussed in detail. One is pH value of the precursor solution, and the other is the Eu(Dy) doping content. In addition to the spindle-like microstructure, cylindrical shape, and the flower-like structure are obtained by varying the pH values or Eu(Dy)-doping in SrMoO. The possible formation mechanism is also put forward on the basis of experimental results. The most intense emission is located around 616 and 577 nm due to D → F and F → H transition of Eu and Dy, respectively. The emission intensity is enhanced with Eu(Dy) doping and the related mechanism is discussed in detail. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
