Abstract

A case study of a 45-year-old male with a history of depression, diabetes, and vision loss who attempted suicide after halting his intake of antidepressants is presented. The patient was admitted after committing suicide by severing his embedded pacemaker leading physicians to recommend tracheostomy placement in which the patient declined. Also discussed are various views related to the case wherein the ethical, pastoral, and legal perspectives have been tackled.
