Abstract

The article offers information on various studies about biofilms which were developed through a confluence of bacteria in orthopaedic infections including Staphylococci, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Propionibacterium acnes. Topics include three factors to study aspects of biofilm biology such as quorum quenching, persister cells, and anti-cancer chemotherapy drugs, treatment and diagnosis of biofilm infections, and prevention of biofilm infections.
