Morgan Chase Wealth Unit: Plan Demand Up.

J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.'s unit for affluent investors has had a 300% increase this year in the number of financial plans it has prepared, and it has staffed up as more wealthy investors look to financial advisers for support. Barbara Goodstein, a senior vice president in Chase's personal financial services unit, said it has added 10 specialists to increase its total to 30. The New York company has $54 billion of assets under management. Ms. Goodstein said the personal financial services unit has succeeded by maintaining its customer focus.
