Abstract

The article informs that many architects and planners turned to a rational approach to organize the the city of Philadelphia as it continued to explode in both population and size in the early 20th century. It is stated tha Louis Kahn's 1952 ink, graphite, and decoupage traffic study for downtown Philadelphia found place in the Museum of Modern Art's (MoMA) archives.
