Abstract
- Phase transitions in numerous anhydrous phosphates, vanadates and arsenates of mono- and bivalent elements are reviewed for researcher working in the field of ferroelectricity and ferroelasticity. Many of these phase transitions are either ferroelectric or ferroelastic, but some are reconstructive and, therefore, of no interest. There is a great number of probable ferroelectrics and ferroelastics which are still not studied. The purpose of this paper is to describe well known ferroelectrics and ferroelastics and to point out compounds which may be interesting for investigations. This can make the choice of objects for further studies more effective. There is a fairly full consideration of publications by Russian researchers on this subject. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
