Abstract
- The article talks about the current status and the effectivity of sexual education curricula for persons with intellectual disabilities (ID). Topics include a comprehensive review of social science literature from 1995-2015 on the effects of ineffective sexual education and literature on sexuality education for individuals with ID, and the results which show that persons with ID have a greater risk of sexual abuse, misinformation, and infection with sexually transmitted diseases (STD).
