- The article focuses on a report of amphibian decline, including Midland Painted Turtles, or Chrysemys picta marginata, and Wood Frogs, or Lithobates sylvaticus, attributed to ranaviruses in Ohio. It provides details about DNA extraction from whole dead or moribund frogs as well as the collection of skin swab samples.
