Abstract

The article discusses the views of philosophers regarding aletheiology, the philosophy of truth, in the Lvov-Warsaw School. It includes Kazimierz Twardowski, the father of the school, who discussed whether truth is absolute or relative, Jan Lukasiewicz who says that a sentence is true if and only if it states that something exist or does not exist, and Alfred Tarski who elaborated on the semantic theory of truth and offered a diagnosis of the Liar paradox and other semantic antinomies.
