Abstract

Describes the clinical signs, diagnosis, treatment and outcome of retropharyngeal injuries associated with the oral administration of an intraruminal bolus to young adult lambs. Observation that the administration of a larger bolus did not result to pharyngeal damage; Factors influencing the occurrence of pharyngeal damage; Prognosis after the surgical removal of the bolus.
