- The article offers information on free trade in the U.S. According to the U.S. Council of Economic Advisers, decrease in trade barriers after the Second World War increased U.S. gross domestic product by more than seven percent. The author says that free trade has made goods and services cheaper but it has not always benefited labor markets.
