Abstract
- The article offers information on the increase in terrorism by the Islamic State and the decrease in the territories under its control in Syria and Iraq. According to the author, the aim of the Islamic State is to prevent Muslims and non-Muslims from living together. The author says that the city of Palmyra in Syria was recaptured by the forces of Syrian President Bashar Assad and Russia in March 2016.
