Abstract

The article presents a case study of a man in his 70s who was suffering from advanced esophageal cancer and underwent esophagectomy for its treatment. Topics discussed include the patient developing anastomotic leakage after esophagectomy, the use of polyglycolic acid (PGA) sheets for closing of refractory esophago-pulmonary fistula and large fistula leading to the use of PGA sheets instead of endoclips.
