Abstract

This paper reports the magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of LaSrMnVO polycrystalline manganite elaborated using the solid-state reaction method. The X-ray powder diffraction shows that the prepared compound has a single phase. Magnetocaloric effect is calculated from the measurement of initial isothermal magnetization versus magnetic field at various temperatures. The enhanced relative cooling power (RCP) and ${\Delta } S_{\mathrm {M}}^{\max }$ values show that this sample has potentials for future technological application. Moreover, we have studied the universal behavior used as a further criterion to distinguish the order of the phase transition in LaSrMnVO. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
