Abstract
- The article presents the authors comments on the study concerning the constrasting motivation orientation and evaluative coding accounts of affective stimulus-response compatibility (aSRC) effects between positive/negative stimuli and approach/avoidance-related movements. One of the authors argues with an evaluative-coding approach which cannot fully account for aSRC effects with facial actions. The other author also mentions the importance for motivational-systems approach.
