Abstract

BiMoO nanomaterials are synthesized by a facile solvothermal method. Morphology and structure of the BiMoO nanomaterials are analyzed by SEM, XRD, N adsorption techniques and XPS. Gas-sensing properties of the as-prepared BiMoO sensors are also systematically investigated. The results show the BiMoO nanomaterials consist of nanosheets and demonstrate good crystallinity. The optimal operating temperature of the BiMoO sensors is 240 °C. At this operating temperature, The BiMoO sensor exhibits a fast response-recovery to ethanol, suggesting its excellent potential application as a gas sensor for ethanol gas-sensing applications.
