Other countries' disregard for America's power and participation; France's formation of a European-African-Arab summit that cut America out; Carter's difficulties in holding his own administration together; Reputation for ineptitude which will cause his defeat in the next elections; Public statement in response to evidence that the Soviet Union is preparing to meddle in Iran's internal affairs; Failure of presidential supporters and enemies to provide answers for the disrespect America is being shown in the world.
