Abstract

The article describes the preparation of a series of palladium (Pd)(II)-trifluoroacetate (TFA)-(chelating diphosphine) complexes and the catalytic C-C coupling reactions of aryl halides and arylboronic acids. Topics covered include the advantages of transition-metal complexes having a TFA ligand, the results of the C-C coupling reactions of aryl bromides and phenylboronic acid and the optimization for Suzuli-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions of 4-chloro acetophenone with phenylboronic acid.
