Abstract
- The article presents a study that assesses the effect of bandage use on motor performance and pain in people with knee osteoarthritis during obstacle crossing. It measures the vertical and anterior components of the ground reaction force during crossing using a force plate while pain is tested using the visual analogue scale. It is suggested that bandage allows more rapid movements, reduces the overload on the locomotor system, and estimates the force applied against the ground.
