Abstract
- The article presents a study which examined propagation of vancomycin A-containing Enterococcus faecium and Enterococcus faecalis strains in hospital patients with multilocus sequence typing (MLST) lineages. Several testst are performed including water sample collection and analysis, microdilution technique and polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The vancomycin-resistance in both strains are measured.
