Abstract

The article discusses how libraries can facilitate serendipity for visitors and users. It notes that some public libraries have attracted the interest of visitors by using a retail establishment's approach to organizing and displaying physical collections and spaces. It cites that other libraries create a serendipitous experience by offering a Lucky Day Collection featuring books that are consistently searched or checked out or through online representations of collected books.
