Abstract

The newest addition to Toronto, Ontario's TV landscape spent a month advising Torontonians to "stay tuned." Now it's showing them why. Coinciding with its Sept. 19 launch, the marketing for Toronto 1 is focusing on five core television shows," Toronto Tonight", "Prime Ticket Movies", "The Sharon Osbourne Show", "The Toronto Show" and an hour-long block of programming comprised of Celebrity Justice and Extra. Created by Toronto agency Flavour, the campaign includes billboard advertisements on major routes in and out of the city, plus domination advertising on 20 Toronto Transit Commission subway cars and at GO Transit's Union Station stop. Toronto 1 also ran a four-page cover wrap on the September 19, 2003 edition of free commuter paper "Metro Toronto." A radio campaign is also running on local stations.
