Abstract
- The article analyzes a Web of Science data between 1900 and 2012 focusing on the growth and increasing multidisciplinarity of physics. Topics discussed are the influence of access to resources, the increasing number of authors and productivity to the growth of physics literature, the impact of physics papers based on the number of citations each paper acquired within 10 years of its publication, and the subfields of physics using the Physics and Astronomy Classification Scheme (PACS).
