Abstract
- The article examines the outlook for intermodal rail transport in the U.S. for 2016. Topics discussed include data from the Intermodal Association of North America on intermodal rail growth year-over-year in 2014-15, and the impact of drop in diesel fuel prices and loosening of truck capacity to domestic intermodal conversion. Also mentioned are insights from Integrated Distribution Services president Rick LaGore on prospects for the international and domestic intermodal markets. INSET: LIVING ON THE EDGE.
