Abstract

The article reports that Afghan immigrants working at the U.S. Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, California are asking overtime pay and compensation for rest breaks and meal from the defense contractor Tatitlek Support Services. California Department of Industrial Relations spokesman Peter Melton states that the workers must received such payment as they are subjected to the state's labor laws. The class-action lawsuit faced by Tatitlek in 2011 was also mentioned.
