Abstract: The article presents a survey of articles that focus on age-hardenable microalloying in magnesium. Articles presented include the precipitation hardening and microalloying of high-strength magnesium alloys and the creation of an integrated density functional theory and electron work function study on solid-solution hardening. A research on microstructure evolution and hardness variation is also mentioned.
