Abstract

A pressure-induced phase transition in LaO<subscript>0.5</subscript>F<subscript>0.5</subscript>BiSeS is demonstrated by performing resistance measurements with a diamond anvil cell. The superconducting transition temperature (T<subscript>c</subscript>) of LaO<subscript>0.5</subscript>F<subscript>0.5</subscript>BiSeS changes from a low-T<subscript>c</subscript> phase (4.9 K) to a high-T<subscript>c</subscript> phase (7 K) owing to the application of pressure up to 5.1 GPa.
