Abstract

The author discusses the policies made by the "Journal of Threatened Taxa" (JoTT) on the citation of published works in predatory journals due to the negative impact of predatory publishing. Topics discussed include the awareness of potential authors in fighting the problem of predatory publications, the peer review being compromised due to rapid publications, and the support made by JOTT in the best practices of writing scientific research.
