Abstract
- The article explores the liabilities of family law practitioner under the state and federal wiretap statutes in the U.S. Topics discussed include the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in the case Katz v. United States, the Fourth Amendment protections enjoyed by the individuals for privacy protection that is endangered by the technology, and ways family law practitioners navigate the wiretap statutes to avoid risks. Provision of the Electronic Communications Privacy Act of 1986 are also mentioned.
