Abstract
- The article offers information on Pakistan and the history of Muslims in South Asia. Topics include the first century of the Islamic calendar, Hijra, and the acceptance of Islam as the basic religion, converting from Buddhism, by the majority of the people of Pakistan in the 4th century Hijra. Other topics include Pakistan's independence day on August 14, 1947, the Quaid Muslim League led by Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and the dream of poet-philosopher Allama Muhammad Iqbal for Hindus and Muslims.
