Abstract
- An essay on the interrelationship between British colonialism and Irish nationhood is presented. It explores the utopian politics and its implications for revisiting the book "Ulysses" by James Joyce, focusing on the episodes Circe, Cyclops and Aeolus of the novel. The author argues that the book with themes of empire, race, nationalism, colonialism, and orientalism, disavows cultural nationalism.
