Abstract

The article discusses the results of a study on how FOXP3 transcription is enhanced in the lesional and perilesional skin of patients with focal Alopecia areata (AA). Topics covered include how the analysis of FOXP3 transcription did not indicate any in situ quantitative defect of Tregs and how the findings of the study confirm the absence of a quantitative and functional defect of Tregs in focal AA.
