The New French Guidelines on Alcohol Misuse: An Initiative for Strengthening Cross-European Interplay.

A letter to the editor is presented in response to the French Alcohol Society's clinical guidelines entitled "Alcohol misuse: Screening, diagnosis and treatment" and the guidelines' efforts to circumvent differences id diagnostics between "The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders" and the International Classification of Diseases.
