Abstract
- The interview has, for a long time, been the central method for the assessment of applicants for nurse training in the United Kingdom. The lack of a clear person specification, and, in particular, training in the skills involved in assessing personality, have been excused on the grounds of the universality of types required in nursing. This paper outlines some initial work that has been done on identifying a 'personality mix or constellation' and ways of exploring and assessing it in face-to-face interviews. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
