Abstract
- This action research study was undertaken to address practical concerns over curriculum development in nursing. The applied physiology component of a post-registration nursing diploma was evaluated in terms of its impact on patients rather than on the nurses themselves. The reported data were triangulated, all the findings indicated that patient care could be enhanced when nurses applied their knowledge of physiology to practice. Despite its limitations of scale, this study contributes to the curriculum debate in nurse education. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
